UPS Worldship Integration Setup
In this document, we will cover setting up the integration between Savance Enterprise and UPS Worldship
Worldship Settings:
- If you would like to stop getting this message:
- Then turn off the Always Update Address Book setting as well as remove any duplicate addresses from the worldship address book.
Import Maps:

Setting Savance Enterprise as ODBC Source. Before importing Maps, you will need to set Savance Enterprise as your ODBC Source.

Search for “ODBC Data Sources” in your start menu, and the ODBC DataSource Administration panel will open

Click “Add”. A pop up wizard will appear asking you to create what kind of datasource

Select “SQL Server” then click finish. Iit will now ask you for a name, description, and the sql server that you want to connect to

Creating Import Map
- Click on Import-Export
- From the submenu, click “Create/edit a map”
- A new popup will appear click on “import from ODBC Database” and change map type to “Shipment”

Give the map a name and click create

A new screen will appear asking you to select ODBC Source. Select Savance Enterprise.

ID and Password should be the same as whatever credentials you use to access and administrate the database

Press “OK” and let it run. A new window will appear which allows you to edit the import map
- Here you will find the ODBC tables. Find and select the import view called “VW_LogisticsKeyedImport”
- Now select “KeyedimportNumber” and click “Define that as a primary key”
- Click on “Define Foreign key Relationships”
- In the new screen along the first relate from -> relate to row, “VW_Lofisticskeyedimport” will relate to “odershipperheaders”, and along the second relate from -> relate to row “ordershipperheaders”, will relate to “ordershipperheaders”
- Click “Add relationship”
- We will now create a new relationship as follows
- Upper left -> “Ordershipperheaders”
Upper right -> “Orders”
Lower right -> “Ordersys”
Lower left -> “Ordersys”

Click “Add relationship” and “OK” on the lower right

You should now find yourself back at the screen below. If not, navigate back manually

Ensure that the column name is “KeyedOrdernumber” on the left and “Reference 2” on the right.

Click “Connect”

Select “Ship to” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Company or Name” field.

Select “orders” under “ODBC Tables” then select “ShipTo 1”

Click “Connect”

Select “Ship to” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Attention” field

Select “orders” under “ODBC Tables” then select “ShipTo 2”

Click “Connect”

Select “Ship to” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Address 1” field

Select “orders” under “ODBC Tables” then select “ShipToAddress1”

Click “Connect”

Select “Ship to” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Address 2” field

Click “Connect”

Select “Ship to” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Postal Code” field.

Select “orders” under “ODBC Tables” then select “ShipToZip”

Click “Connect”

Select “Ship to” under “Worldship fields”, then select “State/Province/County” field.

Select “orders” under “ODBC Tables” then select “ShipToState”

Click “Connect”

Select “Ship to” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Customer ID” field

Select “orders” under “ODBC Tables” then select “AccountSys”

Click “Connect”

Select “Shipment Information” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Reference 3” field

Select “orders” under “ODBC Tables” then select “AccountSys”

Click “Connect”

Click “OK” and you are now finished with the import.

Creating Export Maps

Click Export to ODBC Database
-
In the “Map Type” drop down, choose “Shipment”
-
In the name section, type “SavanceEnterpriseExport”
-
Click Create
-
A new screen will appear. Choose “Savance Enterprise” for your ODBC source
-
Enter your username/password for administration of the database
-
Hit OK
-
Now the “Edit export map” screen will appear where we will map a series of database field relationships
-
Select “Shipment information” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Shipment ID” field
-
Select “LogisticsImportData” under “ODBC Tables” then select “TrackingNumber”
-
Click “Connect”

Select “Shipment information” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Actual weight” field

Select “LogisticsImportData” under “ODBC Tables” then select “shipmentweight”

Click “Connect”

Select “Shipment information” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Service Type” field

Select “LogisticsImportData” under “ODBC Tables” then select “Shipment Method”

Click “Connect”

Select “Package” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Reference 2” field

Select “LogisticsImportData” under “ODBC Tables” then select “shipment reference”

Click “Connect”

Select “Package” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Reference 1” field

Select “LogisticsImportData” under “ODBC Tables” then select “shipmentpackagereference”

Click “Connect”

Select “Package” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Reference 3” field

Select “LogisticsImportData” under “ODBC Tables” then select “shipmentaccountreference”

Click “Connect”

Select “Shipment information” under “Worldship fields”, then select “number of packages” field

Select “LogisticsImportData” under “ODBC Tables” then select “shipmentboxcount”

Click “Connect”

Select “Shipment information” under “Worldship fields”, then select “void indicator” field

Select “LogisticsImportData” under “ODBC Tables” then select “shipmentvoid”

Click “Connect”

Select “Shipment information” under “Worldship fields”, then select “shipment process timestamp” field

Select “LogisticsImportData” under “ODBC Tables” then select “shipmentdate”

Click “Connect”

Select “Shipment information” under “Worldship fields”, then select “Total Shipment and Handling Published Cost” field

Select “LogisticsImportData” under “ODBC Tables” then select “ShipmentCost”

Click “Connect”
- You have now completed the export map. Click OK & Close to go back to the main screen
Testing a Keyed Import
- Enabling the Automatic Shipment Processing

Starting the first integration process
- Click on “Keyed Import” and select Savance Import”
- A new popup will appear asking you to enter a shipper (either type it in or use a keyboard wedge that sends a carriage return at the end) then hit the Enter Key
- The data will auto-populate based on our mapping
- If you have multiple packages in this order, they will be seen under the “Reference” tab as seen below (if you have multiple packages in this order, you can go to this tab and check “Use on all packages” for every package).

Every package you have, there will be a package number tied to it

Click on the “Service” tab and key in (or scan) the number in the “Reference Number 1” field
- Now select the UPS Service Type, and enter the weight of the shipment after you weigh it. The software will calculate the rest
- When finished press the Process Shipment button. This will process the shipment and send the info back to Savance Enterprise.

Once finished the Keyed Import order number input box will be on the screen awaiting your next keyboard wedge scan.

You will see the freight applied charge under History->Transactions
- You will find the tracking number when you click on the Shipper
- Then Click on Shipping and you will see the tracking number under Tracking Number
- This concludes using UPS Worldship Integration on Savance Enterprise.
